Pregnancy, weight loss, prior surgery and genetics can cause weakened abdominal muscles that bulge and seem resistant to diet and exercise. If the belly bulge is stopping you from having confidence or wearing the clothes you love, the Tummy Tuck is a permanent surgical solution to forming the abdominal area. The procedure involves removing excess abdominal skin and tightening the abdominal muscles, for a flatter, more proportionate tummy. Dr. Dixon assesses each person to determine if he or she is a good candidate for an abdominoplasty. He personally explains all the aspects of the surgery and sees every patient throughout the post-op period.
For pain management, Dr. Dixon utilized the ON-Q PainBuster (www.AskYourSurgeon.com) which administers a local numbing medicine for up to 72 hours post operatively. This reduces the level of acute pain and makes our patients more comfortable. The pain pump is removed at your first follow up appointment.
